We are Casa Tiny House

Tiny Homes on the Sunshine Coast

Looking for a tiny home on the Sunshine Coast? You're in the right place, and closer to the workshop than you might think. Casa Tiny House builds handcrafted tiny homes on wheels right here in Landsborough, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and delivers them across the region and all of Australia.

We're a licensed local builder (QBCC), members of THIA, ATHA and the HIA, and every home we build is a genuine tiny house on wheels: road-legal, DA-exempt by design, and finished in 8 to 12 weeks. Prices start from A$105,000, with everything included, no surprise add-ons.

‍

Built on the Sunshine Coast, for the Sunshine Coast

Being local matters more than it looks. We build for the Sunshine Coast climate, the hinterland blocks, and the way people actually live up here.

  • Coastal and hinterland ready. Our homes are built to handle coastal humidity and the hinterland's cooler nights, with quality insulation, a Pro Clima membrane, proper ventilation and finishes that last near the water.

  • You can visit the workshop. Because we build in Landsborough, you can walk through a real home in progress before you commit. No renders, no showroom trickery, the actual home.

  • A builder you can sit down with. Eduardo, our founder, runs a consultative process personally. You talk to the person building your home. No being passed between multiple staff, you'll have the same dedicated support from start to finish.

For clients across Caloundra, Maleny, Nambour, Noosa and the wider hinterland, this means a home designed and built by people who know the area, delivered to your block when it's ready.

Tiny homes on wheels, not modular

This is the most important thing to understand before you choose a builder on the Sunshine Coast, because it changes everything about where you can place your home.

Casa Tiny House builds tiny homes on wheels only. Your home is built on a registered trailer, with proper road-legal engineering, including braked axles for safe towing. That's a deliberate choice, and it's what gives a tiny home its biggest advantage:

  • It's DA-exempt by design. Because a tiny home on wheels is classed like a caravan rather than a fixed dwelling, it doesn't require a development application the way a built-on-slab or modular home does. (More on Sunshine Coast rules below.)

  • It can move with you. A new block, family land, a tree-change to the hinterland, your home comes too.

  • It's finished faster. Weeks in our workshop, not months on a building site.

A modular or transportable home, by contrast, is fixed to the ground and follows the full council building-approval pathway. Both are valid choices, but they're not the same product, and only one moves with you. If mobility and a simpler approval path matter to you, on-wheels is the way.

‍

Can you live in a tiny home on the Sunshine Coast?

Short answer: yes, and the on-wheels design is what makes it straightforward, but the details are set by council, not by us.

The Sunshine Coast Council recognises tiny homes on wheels as a form of temporary home (in the same family as caravans and recreational vehicles), separate from fixed dwellings that need a development application. Rules cover things like how long you can occupy one, connection to services, and where on a property it can sit.

Because those rules can change and depend on your specific block and situation, we'll always point you to the current Sunshine Coast Council temporary home guidance to confirm your plans, rather than promising an outcome we don't control. What we can tell you plainly: building your home on wheels keeps you on the simpler, DA-exempt side of that line by design.

How delivery works

You don't need to live in Landsborough to own a Casa Tiny home. Here's the honest version of how it works:

  1. We design and build your home in our Sunshine Coast workshop over 8 to 12 weeks.

  2. You (or we) prepare the site, a level spot, and services ready to connect.

  3. We deliver and set up your finished home on your block, anywhere on the Sunshine Coast or across Australia.

We build in one place and deliver to yours. That's how a genuine tiny home works, and it's why the quality is consistent every time.

What our clients say

"I am so happy I chose Casa Tiny House to build my home. Not only is it amazing and a dream come true, but the whole experience with Eduardo has been as stress-free as possible when spending your life's savings and having to make all the decisions as an older woman without the know-how. I highly recommend Casa Tiny House, 100%."
